Dr. John C. Pulver is an Emeritus Professor of Sociology at the College of Southern Nevada, where he taught Sociology and Psychology for 29 years. John also practiced as a Licensed Marriage and Family Counselor in the State of Nevada for 10 years, previously specializing in couples counseling, recovery from addictions and abuse, and issues stemming from earlier family experiences. He is the author of "Growing Beyond Your Family of Origin Experience" which focuses on promoting growth beyond our earlier experiences, regardless of what they may have been. John is currently writing and researching in the areas of personal growth, marriage preparation and longevity, and principles of freedom for individuals and societies that allow for optimal growth forward.  He has shared music vocally, and on piano and organ for the past 62 years.  A composer of varied musical styles, John also provides original uplifting music through the sister site climbingupwardmusic.com
